Meeting the Boy Child

Dave and I have three wonderful granddaughters, an introduction into the world of pink, fairies, purses, lip gloss and ruffles. After having had two sons, we have experienced so much joy in these girls God brought into our family. Those little girls are now five, two, and two and a half. Then, this September, came the boy child, the one “grand” we didn’t meet until he was 6 and a half weeks old. So here’s a toast to the handsome little man!

First meeting with his Grandpa Wolfe. What’s this “prickly” on your face? Do I get one of these too?

God gave you a helpful big sister who loves and helps take care of you already. May the Lord bless you both.

“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power and the wonders he has done.” What a privilege for grandparents to follow the admonition of Psalm 78.

A monk-like outfit for All Soul’s Day. Shhhh…I think he’s memorizing the five solos of the Reformation.

God has blessed you with a Mommy who loves the Lord and will teach you His ways.

And a Daddy who will teach you God’s ways and model servant leadership for you.

How we give you thanks, Lord, for this child.
